Here’s our story. After many years as a carpenter, a kitchen and bath remodeler, I worked in and had a rewarding and enlightening career in the corporate insurance renovation industry. But for me, something was missing. I believed there was a different path that could be taken to provide a more personalized and caring approach to homeowners who had just experienced a disruptive personal event to their family and home.
With that mindset, my wife, Alison and I took the bold step to start our own business and Hoffman Home Renovations opened for business in January 2017. A business based on caring. A business that would take the time to understand our clients’ needs. A business based on communication. A business whose core strategy is to “always do the right thing.”
We succeeded. We succeeded because of the people we surrounded ourselves with, hardworking, diligent and caring people.
With the confidence of that success, our attention was drawn to the local roofing industry, knowing that our core beliefs would be beneficial to you and the communities we serve. In 2024, Hoffman Home Renovations & Roofing took root. We are immensely proud of our success in the Downriver roofing industry. We believe having the designation as a GAF Certified Contractor Plus lets our communities know we are serious about delivering a superior roofing experience, from the initial contact to the end product; a beautiful new roof and the security of knowing your roofing decision is guaranteed and has warranted performance by GAF, the largest roofing manufacturer in the United States.

We believe in giving back to the communities that have supported us throughout the years. Some of our recent community initiatives include:
- Rebuilding living quarters for first responders in Southgate
- Installing a new kitchen for the Riverview Fire Department
- Supporting local youth sports by sponsoring Taylor North Little League and Southgate Little League
- Volunteering to improve Southgate Little League facilities, including removing and replacing flooded dugout cement work
- Annual donations of painting services and roof system discounts for Taylor North Little League raffles
- Yearly contributions to RAINA non-profit group through service and discount raffles
- Assisting a disabled veteran in Dearborn Heights by removing a tree and demolishing a garage free of charge
